Hyderabadis redefining kindness in dating: Bumble survey

Hyderabad Online dating and network application, Bumble said its recent survey revealed that single people in the city who are looking to get into a relationship are being more kind by acting in the interest of others, respecting vulnerability, empathy, and compassion.
According to the survey, a majority of 84 per cent of people in Hyderabad are looking for honesty, while 69 per cent want emotional availability, 59 per cent for empathy and compassion, 48 per cent into giving compliments and 51 per cent for generosity.
Samarpita Samaddar, Director- India Communications, Bumble said, “Kindness goes beyond just being nice and material gestures. We are happy to see that daters in India are redefining kindness in relationship. In fact, as per our latest study, 30 per cent of Hyderabad respondents are looking for more than the bare minimum.”
The data is based on a survey conducted by Censuswide and commissioned by Bumble wherein 2,000 Indian respondents above 18 years participated in June 2023.
The online dating platform has launched a new campaign titled ‘Kindness is Sexy’, featuring film actor Aditya Roy Kapoor. The message of the campaign resonates with the survey data about singles in India being focused on kindness as a key element of their dating decisions. Bumble had recently rolled out a message before match feature, ‘Compliments’ that allows the community to start a conversation in a positive way.
